  • GAP Protection

    What is the GAP Protection?

Too often people assume that insurance companies will cover any loss related to their vehicle. In reality, the Actual Cash Value an insurance company places on your vehicle may be substantially less than the outstanding finance contract balance. Consequently, if your vehicle is damaged or stolen and is deemed a total loss, you may be responsible for the "GAP". This "GAP" is the difference between the amount required to pay off the loan or lease agreement and the Actual Cash Value determined by the insurance company.

    Security

Pays off the remaining principal balance on your finance contract, plus your deductible*, in the event of a total loss.

    Flexibility

GAP Protection is available to cover most types of finance contracts, including loan and lease agreements.

    Benefits

    • Covers finance contract up to 120% of the vehicle's MSRP or Retail Value.
    • Up to $25,000 maximum claim amount.
    • Covers Primary Insurance Deductible up to $1,000.
    • Amounts financed up to $350,000

    How Gap Works

Amount owed on Finance Contract $28,000
Actual Cash Value of vehicle -$23,000
    GAP $5,000
Primary insurance deductible (if applicable) $1,000
    Total out-of-pocket expense $6,000
    GAP Protection payment * $6,000
Total owed to pay off Finance Contract $0

    Coverage exclusions will apply *

    • Any late charges, deferred payments, payment extensions and other charges on your finance contract.
    • Any cancellable items to which you are entitled a refund.
  • TRAILERGARD Traceable Theft Protection

HOW & WHY DOES IT WORK?

Over a million vehicles are stolen every year in the United States. That is one every 20 seconds! Most are never recovered, or are recovered with extensive and costly damages. Since most people carry a significant deductible on their insurance policy, auto theft can result in substantial out of pocket costs to vehicle owners.

So how do you protect yourself? The Trailergard Traceable Theft Protection Program is a highly effective way to keep your vehicle safe from professional thieves. The Trailergard Traceable Theft Protection Program provides a unique identification code that is permanently affixed to your vehicle. Because thieves know that vehicles equipped with such protection systems are easily traceable by police, they frequently will seek out an easier target.

Insurance companies know that the Trailergard Traceable Theft Protection Program is an effective theft deterrent, therefore this program meets many insurance carriers' requirements for anti-theft system premium discounts.

    THEFT COVERAGE PROTECTION

We are so confident in the effectiveness of our program, that we will provide you with robust financial benefits in the event that the system fails to deter the theft of your vehicle. Only the Trailergard Traceable Theft Protection Program provides real financial help when you need it most:

In the event that your vehicle is stolen and not recovered, or in the event that it is recovered but declared to be a total loss, you will become eligible for the following:

    • A cash benefit that you can use towards the purchase or lease of a replacement vehicle, to cover your deductible, or to apply towards any other expenses that you may encounter.
    • Down Payment Assistance-when you return to your selling dealership, you can receive an additional benefit that will be paid to the dealership towards the down payment on a replacement vehicle.

In the event that your vehicle is stolen and recovered damaged (but not totaled), you will be eligible for reimbursement of up to $1000 to pay your primary insurance deductible. In either event, you will be eligible for rental reimbursement expenses of up to $25 per day for 10 days.
